Re: [SOLVED] Scroll Lock in Cooler master storm keyboard binding

My gosh, you guys are making this so much more difficult than it needs to be. I can't speak for other flavors of Mint, but the XFCE desktop settings (GUI) permit you to create keyboard function shortcuts in a matter of seconds. So if you're using a Mint Desktop with permissable keyboard shortcuts, s...

Re: [SOLVED] Scroll Lock in Cooler master storm keyboard binding

Thank you, that worked on my keyboard with the 3 in the command as well. Now I just have to figure out how to map that command so the scroll/lock key on the keyboard will accomplish the same thing. Any thoughts, ideas, or step by step solutions on that?

Re: SYSTEMBACK 2019: Live installation require DOUBLE space on HD drive!

What makes that particular link really confusing is the fact that ... at least on my Chrome browser ... the comments are totally scattered between 2008 and 2019. Along with the myriad of instructions for 32bit systems, problem fixes, and ubuntu installs which failed, I really don't know how far to t...

Re: SYSTEMBACK 2019: Live installation require DOUBLE space on HD drive!

And here's the sourceforge link for systemback.
My understanding is that it is not by some italian developer?

Hasn't been updated in 2 to 3 years though. Perhaps abandoned ...

Re: SYSTEMBACK 2019: Live installation require DOUBLE space on HD drive!

I have no experience with systemback but I have a question. Why are you using it instead of the already installed Timeshift to back up the system and BackInTime to back up your personal data and settings? They both do a fantastic job for me and are quick. Because I need to make an installable .ISO ...

SOLVED - Re: GIMP 2.10 Missing plug-ins, non-functional scripts ???

Alright, at least I got some arrows working now. I have three different third party add-ons for arrows. I have script files, one py file, and gbr brush files. All of them have the permissions set correctly, all of them are in the correct home/user/.config/GIMP10 folders, and the py file is marked as...

Re: GIMP 2.10 Missing plug-ins, non-functional scripts ???

Hmmm, I'm not sure how or if that would work for me. Initially after Gimp, or at least my updated version of Gimp 2.10 was installed, there are two locations for brushes, scripts, plug-ins, and so on. One of them is in system/usr/share and the other one is ... somewhere else, don't remember where ri...

Re: arrow.scm

Hi everyone. I have a post that's related to arrow scripts/plugins and general problems with them in Gimp 2.10 after upgrading from Gimp 2.8.2 on my Linux Mint 19.1 setup. Maybe someone from here might have some helpful suggestions? Here's the link: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=...

Re: GIMP 2.10 Missing plug-ins, non-functional scripts ???

Well, I tried following that suggestion of copying them into the .config/GIMP section and guess what happened? All of my brushes doubled up, all standard GIMP brushes showed up twice, no kidding, and all of the third party scripts & plugins were still missing. They're visible in the folders, the rea...

Re: GIMP 2.10 Missing plug-ins, non-functional scripts ???

Okay, I think that I'm starting to see part of the problem, thanks to previous comments from phd21 on my other Gimp 2.10 (Flatpak) post. When I updated my regular Gimp 2.8 to Gimp 2.10 by using step 2 in this installation guide ... https://itsfoss.com/gimp-2-10-release/ ... apparently this did not p...

Re: SOLVED - GIMP 2.10 - How do I remove the flatpak installation?

Well, in all fairness, nothing that I was able to find Online made references to the user/ .config folders. Everything that I did had to do with system/usr/share/Gimp/2.0 folders or the home/user/.gimp-2.8 folders. Is that the problem perhaps, the fact that I don't see a .gimp-2.10 folder in the hom...

SOLVED - GIMP 2.10 Missing plug-ins, non-functional scripts ???

Alright, one last post on this subject before I dump Gimp 2.10 as being worthless until it gets additional improvements. As most regular Gimp users probably already know, any custom/third party scripts and plugins that you may have been using with Gimp version 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, etc. all the way up to G...

Re: SOLVED - GIMP 2.10 - How do I remove the flatpak installation?

Thank you. I actually had an arrow file specifically for Gimp 2.10 but after extracting the file it ended up being a py file, in other words arrow.py The instructions called for placing the file in a plug-ins folder, but gimp 2.10 or as the folder is viewed 2.8 doesn't have a plug-ins folder. Tried ...

SOLVED - Re: GIMP 2.10 - How do I remove the flatpak installation?

Thanks for all of your help, everyone! :D I'm going to mark this thread a solved, even though it didn't actually solve my problem. Thanks again. Tried that but it didn't work either. Here's the error that I received: Error: org.gimp.GIMP/*unspecified*/*unspecified* not installed That's literally what I got back, no editing in the string. Geeez, crazy stuff. It proably has something to do with the arch repositories. I wish that ...

Re: GIMP 2.10 - How do I remove the flatpak installation?

Thanks everyone. I did mention that I was using Mint 19.1 ... but I forgot to mention that I followed some instructions that were directly on the GIMP site, without ever realizing that Flatpak wasn't the same thing as any ol .deb installation. So I tried the above suggestions, but they're not workin...

Re: 600mbit Wireless N plus AC ... Can't figure this out

Bummer, I guess this is going to be about as good as it gets. :( Well, 150 mbit is certainly a heck of an improvement over no internet access to begin with. Thanks a bunch again. I went ahead and added that last command, then rebooted the machine. After the reboot wifi was no longer recognized and I...
