Move .thunderbird using Grsync, and make sure that the privileges are correct after moving.

Code: Select all

ls -laR .thunderbird

Re: Crontab does not work properly.

I suppose that FreeFileSync is a graphical application, so you need to export display too into command. An example:

Code: Select all

@reboot export DISPLAY=:0 && cd /home/matthew && ./the-script_here
Command xdpyinfo | grep display tells display's number.

Re: Installing Windows 7 after Linuxmint 19.1 Cinnamon

If you install Windows after linux , you need to make at least one primary partition for Windows and do NOT let Windows to format that partition during an installation. Windows installation breaks linux 's boot loader, so you need to repair linux 's boot loader after Windows installation. You can bo...

Re: Will April update of Windows 10 destroy my dual booting Linux Mint 19.1?

Windows 10 can make extra partitions, which breaks other operating systems. Better to use Windows into VirtualBox if needed.

Code: Select all

Re: LM19.1 Install + wrong UEFI-registry + Win7 with hardware switch

Not sure if it helps you, but I have made a bios-grub partition and removed EFI-partition from GPT drive and turned UEFI off, and then my computer works ok with msdos and GPT hard drives.

I chose Legacy (for compatibility with the BIOS install of Win10 on the second HDD). But then I get a repeating message "vesamenu.c32: not a COM32R image"
Just hit tab key when booting and type live and then enter.

I suppose that old Virtualboxes and new Kernels do not work together. I have installed Oracle's Virtualbox, because it is working.
