Yes my drive is a terabyte, so plenty of space. How do I expand the root without having to reinstall?

Re: root directory
Just to put this little item totally to bed, run this command in a terminal: sudo ls -l /tmp/system* Show us the results. If there are no results, then restart the computer. We would expect it will not say Error opening directory '/tmp/systemd-private-6439684ed75042f....:permission denied since the...

Re: root directory
Hello. You can run this command: sudo rm -rf /tmp/system* from any location in a terminal. So just do Ctrl-Alt-t to start a terminal and enter that command. Before you do that you can do: sudo ls -l /tmp/system* in any terminal to see what is being deleted. In my case it is just 5 empty tmp directo...

Re: root directory
Unfortunately the issue persists. I got the same error on boot this morning. Is this a system problem. Am I going to need to wipe the drive to reinstall? I have no way of logging as root. At least I do not see an option for root. I can open any number of directories under file system as root. But I ...

Re: root directory
I did not have to log in as root. I did it and it must have removed something. Just went to the next line. So is this sorted now?
You could tryI just did it and nothing happened. (except I did it logged in as root, it might not work with sudoCode: Select all
sudo rm -rf /tmp/system*

Re: password manager
Thanks guys. In general do you prefer client based managers over web based? I am thinking if the client becomes compromised you still have the web..Just covering all scenarios. I am buying crypto and hear about scammers calling my mobile providers to gain access.

As instructed I tried to to remove my system password leaving it blank but I was not allowed. The password field is disabled when blank. Other solutions talked ab...

Hello, it seems each time I upgrade cinimon I have to also deal with finding solution to getting this printer driver to work. My last post for mint 18.3 has been left unanswered.
