Re: PC Freezes Randomly on Desktop with Nvidia GPU
Further camouflaging of random parts of the inxi output, like you did, is not only unneccessary [...] protecting your privacy any better. If you are familiar with fingerprinting on the Internet, then privacy should also be in these inconspicuous things... in particular an uncommon resolution and ol...

Re: NVIDIA Driver Not Usable on LDME5
Any Linux operating system beyond kernel 5.xx will no longer give you a legacy driver for your old Nvidia graphics card. This is because so many security holes have appeared... and these would no longer be fixed by NVIDIA. So Debain has decided to offer only the Nouveau driver for those old cards. B...

Re: LMDE4 encrypted next to windows7 ?
Thank you for the answer, would that /home encryption be equivalent safe as a full disk encryption, or more clearly asked, would it fully encrypt the LMDE4 system and all his actions on the disk ? No, if only the /home is encrypted, only the user-specific queries, settings and other "inputs&qu...

Hello, to resolve the problem with wlan/wifi in LMDE 4 just execute in terminal: sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf Paste this at the end of the .conf file text: [device] wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=no Save now and everything works fine (maybe restart afterwards). Cu Dr. Octagon

Re: Urgent Firefox ESR Update - security vulnerability is exploited
Hello, it's good to know that the two " 0-Days " were finally closed also with the final release of the regular Firefox update version (but 6 days later than possible with 68.6.1 - a long time with such vulnerabilities). When I look at "your linked" post I am amazed that so much ...

Re: Urgent Firefox ESR Update - security vulnerability is exploited
What's this all about? Telling me I don't know how to act on the internet... and that a PLEASE (at the very beginning of my first post) is a barking order in a harsh tone to the developers? Or is this really more about fixing a security hole as quickly as possible like Debian did yesterday? Anyway, ...

Re: Urgent Firefox ESR Update - security vulnerability is exploited
Thank you for one of the most hollow and lofty replies I expected... I'm almost at a loss for words. I didn't know that you are one who analyzes every snippet of script before loading a website and only then visits the site with a clear conscience. Extraordinary... that's a major line of defense. Fo...

In addition:
By the way, i have installed the "original" Debian Firefox until the release of the updated Linux Mint Firefox. It is noticeable that the Linux Mint Firefox is 10 Megabyte larger than the Debian Firefox.
For whatever reason... Can someone explain this!?

Re: Konsole (KDE) full of bugs - Can I fix that?
Hello, it's actually quite ergonomic, at least for me, to make all commands ever entered available again by using the arrow keys up and down in the terminal. Or by calling the file "bash_history" in your home directory - there all entered commands are listed chronologically and can also be...
