Linux Mint Forums - option to upload our own custom avatar in the user control panel

Greetings,

Can we please get an option to upload our own custom avatar in the user control panel? I don't want to be forced to register an account with Gravatar or any other type of photo hosting websites. It would be nice to be able to choose a file to upload from our local machines. Thank you.

Re: LM13 mint-flashplugin-11 needs update

Is the mint-flashplugin-11 no longer maintained in Maya? If so many will be vulnerable in their Firefox browser with flash player. Yes replacing the package is a workaround but should that be necessary with a LTS release? Most people rely on the update manager for security fixes. Hopefully we will s...

[SOLVED] LM13 mint-flashplugin-11 needs update

Firefox is reporting outdated Adobe Flash and blocking it from running again. This been going on over a week and thought I'd wait for an update and still nothing. Last update was back in August with 11.2.202.508 . I've noticed for some time now such long delays on security releases for the mint-flas...

Are there plans for a Linux Mint version of Firefox for Maya? I sure hope Maya users get a better Firefox too.

Re: Firefox keeps crashing lately?

Okay so his/her flash is outdated. The issue still exists with flash player disabled and using HTML 5. Can anyone please report back with similar issues with Youtube using HTML 5 with Firefox 40.0 on 32 bit? Thanks

Re: Firefox keeps crashing lately?

I'm also suffering from this. Firefox will stop responding when watching Youtube videos in HTML 5. I get around 5 minutes into the video when this occurs. The video will continue to play but after that I have to force close the browser and start over. I'm using Maya 32 bit with Firefox 40.0.

Re: Pidgin tray icon: no longer reflecting status changes

This might be worth reading. Still don't understand why it was removed. Why have the Pidgin tray icons been removed? https://github.com/linuxmint/mint-x-icons/tree/22a0efb757508497ba97b387cbdbf8af46f14b66 Now there's only a static Pidgin icon in the task bar, and that's next to useless since ...

Re: Firefox outdated plugins ...

Well, I tried Karl's advice, using Synaptic to install adobe flashplugin etc. When I looked those packages were already installed and the latest versions I had ended in 425. So Ihave to report failure. Guess I'll just go on activating the old vulnerable version when I want flash. bill Maybe someone...

Re: Firefox outdated plugins ...

Since the upgrade to Firefox 35.0.1 I'm getting "Firefox has prevented the outdated plugin Abobe Flash from running". This is on Mint 13 (Maya) with mint-flash-plugin 11.2.202.438. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

The current forum software works great. Why something else? Don't risk losing all posts with years of great knowledge for something that looks a little newer. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Re: Flash PlugIn for FF and Palemoon updates

Today on Mint 13 (Maya) just received an upgrade to mint-flash-plugin 11.2.202.438 which is vulnerable. Why? You would think it would have been the fixed version 11.2.202.440. :(
