Re: Panel mouse bug with dual monitors

mint 19.3: i had this issue but went to "settings" and then "display" and found that the icons for my two monitors were slighly misaligned vertically, and by making sure both of them had horizontal and vertical surfaces lined up/matching, the mouse pointers effortlessly glided from one monitor to th...

Re: gufw refresh interval

thanks. and to be sure, and this is really the thrust for me, the "reporting interval" is a logging function and not a setting that governs how often the firewall does anything else?

Re: installing a program upgrade

much appreciated. thank you very much. that said, I had visited the firefox pages and saw what has been suggested to me. however, I was seeking more than that, such as why, when documentation seems to direct users to use software manager and synaptic, I was failing to accomplish my goal in doing so....

Re: installing a program upgrade

you are too kind! thank you! if you require firefox to update faster than mint puts it out, do this: Quicker updates for Firefox 9. Updates for your web browser Firefox come from Mint's own repository, not straight from the Ubuntu sources. In some cases, this might mean a delay of several days befor...

since you took the time to write, and I appreciate it, and as I said, I am in a business that does not have the legal or practical luxury of waiting around. in my world, the things that nobody thinks will actually happen, happen all the time...and the results for clients is often disastrous. respect...

Re: installing a program upgrade

i appreciate your note. I also understand (and believe in) the line between allowing certain kinds of public comments to go unaddressed and not...and "why"...especially when overdoing it encroches on the very mission that I also believe in, here. I don't care if someone is a developer, has been here...
