Cindy destabilised

Hi all, Anyone else tried switching LMDE3 to the Debian unstable repos? It used to be a bit of a pointless hobby of mine to install Debian-derived distros, based on stable or testing, in a spare partition, and see if I could switch them to Sid without too much breaking. I had tried this ages ago wit...

Re: 'betsy-partner' channel problem downloading flash

Just what I did that worked for me... And this may not be the best option since i have been out of the Mint loop for a while since I have been in pure Debian-land for a few years... Currently, I am experimenting with LMDE2 with MATE. So, I did this: Open Synaptic Package Manager. Then click on SEAR...

Re: 'betsy-partner' channel problem downloading flash

May I suggest an alternative option: you can install Opera and the pepper-flash-plugin-non-free. Get the latest version of Opera here: http://www.opera.com/ Then launch Synaptic Package Manager, in the Quick-filter box type "pepperflashplugin" in one word and without the quotes . I have replaced Go...

'betsy-partner' channel problem downloading flash

Hi, I've been trying to download Flash from Adobe's site because LMDE2's version is out of date according to many sites I've visited but get this dialog box saying: "Unknown channel 'betsy-partner' The channel 'betsy-partner' is not known" Does anyone know of anywhere else the latest Flash can be do...

Re: Tracking sid/unstable with Betsy

Hi markwilson, I'm using Betsy and tracking testing . Sid is a bit to adventurous for me. I installed the Mate version and then Xfce DE. I only use Xfce with mostly Mate and some Xfce apps. I also switched to systemd from sysvint. So far so good. Time will tell how long this will last. :? P.s. Mate...

Re: Tracking sid/unstable with Betsy

Reading around it looks like the problems will just be with Cinnamon (not supprising since it's a Mint-created DE) so I
may be alright sticking with the Mate version.

Tracking sid/unstable with Betsy

Hi All, Is anyone else using Betsy and tracking the Debian sid/unstable repos? I've been using the 64-bit Mate version and haven't had any problems but I recently read a post by Clem on the Mint Blog ( http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2825#comment-117190 ) in which he didn't think Betsy could be used lo...
