Re: LightDM does not show the on-screen keyboard

OK..

I kind of sorted this out by elevating the sudo rights in the sudoers file for a custom group named 'onboard' using the steps described in the image attachment.

I don't know if "security-wise" this thing poses any issues though..

Re: LightDM does not show the on-screen keyboard

Hi Cosmo, I apt installed onboard on a fresh installation of Mint 18.2 (did not know that it was there by default) What I need to do is : to be able to auto start onboard without the need to either sudo or gksudo -or- be able to have the Mint virtual-keyboard show on LightDM (just as it was with MDM...

LightDM does not show the on-screen keyboard

LightDM does not show the on-screen keyboard when selected in the accessibility options. Also /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf.d/99_linuxmint.conf had 'keyboard=onboard' as the login keyboard, but when I installed onboard to the system I was getting the following error on application startup (w...

I don't know how to gather logs or any other detailed technical information about this issue since it is on the Login screen. My specs are: Lenovo s230u i5 that has touch-pad & touch-screen capabilities with...

Is the 'community.linuxmint.com > MyPlaces > MyHardware' Still Active?

I always register my H/W I get as soon as I test them up with Linux Mint, but with the new release the 'Sonya' item is not available in the 'Running on...' option.

Is the 'MyHardware' form discontinued?

Sabrent 12-Button USB Game Controller

Hello Everyone :)

Does anyone had any experience with the Sabrent 12-Button USB Game Controller? (http://www.sabrent.com/category/gaming/USB-GAMEPAD/)

I'm thinking of getting one out of eBay and I wanted to know if it works OK under Linux.

Thanks!

Re: Cinnamon crashes with GeForce GTX 860M

Have you tried installing the latest nvidia-343 driver from the Edgers repository?

I use Mint MATE edition and it works great.
