Re: No more suspend after the lid is closed

So the puzzle is, why is the lid closing not working. Try this: In power manager set lid close to do nothing. Then restart the laptop, close the lid and open it, then in power manager, set it back like you want, restart the laptop and try closing the lid and see what it does. It worked! Thank you s...

[SOLVED] No more suspend after the lid is closed

Hello fellow minters,

I did some kernel and system update and after this when I close the lid my laptop doesn't suspend. I check the relevant option in the power manager and it's activated. Can you tell me please where the problem should lie?

Thanks a lot

I just used it to trim a video. Sorry not to be of help. I think on youtube there should be a video showing that.

There are a few other video editors like "Shotcut", a new one called "Olive", "Flowblade", "Pitivi", Cinelerra-gv, etc...
Hi mate, better late than ever, I finally installed Olive and it ROCKS indeed! Just few dependencies and voila'! It's AMAZING indeed.

Many many thanks for letting me know!

Re: Video editor for zooming into the video

Do you mean that you removed the rotate image capability or the rotate text capability? I really like the rotate text option and I could see people wanting the rotate image as well although I do not use that very much. The rotate using the image exif information sounds interesting too. The rotate i...

Re: Video editor for zooming into the video

Hello Phil,

I will keep you posted! Thanks for the screenshots. I added a flip horizontally option in the next version but I removed the rotate ability. I'm planning to do it automatically according to the EXIF info in the jpg.

Re: Video editor for zooming into the video

Are there any installation binaries for your new version like Linux Deb files? I compiled it, but others in the forum do not like having, or know how, to compile software. No unfortunately. I emailed the Debian package maintainer two months ago, no replies so far... Do you know this tool? https://d...

Video editor for zooming into the video

Hello,

I recorded a screencast of my desktop. Which video editor allows to zoom into the video? I hope I'm clear. Also I would need some basic effects like highlight a portion of the video and blur it.

Thanks

Re: Grub shows new kernel version in the wrong entry at boot

Just a last question,

when I run grub-customizer, it still points to the Ubuntu grub.cfg. How do I have it to point to the one in the Mint partition?

Thanks

Re: Grub shows new kernel version in the wrong entry at boot

Since I'm psychic I can tell you that: - You installed both operating systems with a boot loader. - You installed Ubuntu 18.10 after Mint 19. :) Wow mate, you scared me indeed! That's exactly what I did! Here's an overview over GRUB editing that should include those changes: https://help.ubuntu.com...

[SOLVED] Grub shows new kernel version in the wrong entry at boot

Hello Minters, I have Ubuntu 18.10 and Mint 19 installed. From Mint 19 I installed kernel 4.18.0.13. Grub was updated automatically as usally. When I booted I noticed the kernel was added into the Ubuntu choice and NOT in Mint. Editing the Mint entry I'm able to boot into 4.18.0.13 but I want to do ...
