Re: [SOLVED} SimpleScreeenRecorder

Hi, phd21 and rickNS, I hope I haven't created the impression that I disagreed with phd21. I always admire his vast Linux knowledge. Unfortunately I lost many of my files two years ago when something happened to my Western Digital SSD drive. I'll need to look for one of my SSR recordings or try to c...

Re: [SOLVED} SimpleScreeenRecorder

Hi, phd21,
Thanks very much. What I originally meant was that my SSR recordings display not only videos but also intervening screens of texts telling me what SSR is doing. I hope I'm making myself a bit clearer? Thanks again.

Re: SimpleScreeenRecorder

AvishayRapp,

Thank you very much for your very helpful suggestions. Even though I like the quality of my SSR outputs, I find the recording process somewhat time-consuming. I'll definitely try out OpenShot and follow your future postings on this topic.

Re: Playbacks of gnome-sound-recorder sound noisy

This may sound a bit too simple but have you tried moving closer to the mic? They're actually pretty good a picking up noise you don't notice. Top Hoser Rob, Thanks very much for your suggestion, which I tried out. The recording still sounds weak and noisy. Raising the MIC volume does not seem to h...

[SOLVED} SimpleScreeenRecorder

2018-10-09 I used SimpleScreenrcReorder successfully a few years ago and liked it very much. I wonder if there is a way I can keep its playbacks from displaying all the intermediate steps as they can be very distractive. Any help will be much appreciated. Better yet, can someone recommend me an equa...

Playbacks of gnome-sound-recorder sound weak and noisy

2018-10-09 I've just made a voice recording with a simple mike using gnome-sound-recorder (3.18.2-1). I like the simplicity of the process but the voice playbacks sound very weak and contain lots of noisy. How can I improve my recording? I find audacity rather complicated to use. Any help will be mu...

Re: Using Dropbox or Mega in Linux Mint 18.3

Hi,

Thanks very much. I've justed created an account at http://megatools.nz. Mega is infinitely simpler than Dropbox and is such a pleasure to use. Many thanks for the introduction.

2018-08-12

I downloaded Dropbox 2015-10-25 recently but find i hard to follow its usage instructions. I would appreciate very much any help from anyone. I am totally new to Dropbox.

Since Mega is infinitely simpler to use than Dropbox to Linux users, I've just replaced Dropbox with Mega.

I've just updated my signature. When I get a chance, I'll replace my second machine's kernel with the 4.4 series.
Thanks very much for reminding me.
