Me too, I'm on 18.2 with Canon 200 LiDE not working in Simple Scan or XSane or Skanlite, ran the above in terminal, now Simple Scan works - many thanks

Many thanks I followed your advise and found two removed the same, one I deleted and updated the cache as advised. A mystery how it happened as I never look closely at software sources it's all done automatically by the system.

What's your desktop and LM version? Which keyboard layout do you want when you log in? Hi, I'm on Xfce latest version 18.1 I'm asking if you have for example Russian cyrillic and German as keyboards with the password set on the German, if you log out with the Russian still selected the system will ...
