Re: Linux Mint into Arch Linux

Post a screenshot of that arch 'theme' please.
Arch has more desktops available, Mint has Cinnamon, MATE, and Xfce.
Perhaps you are referring to one of the other Arch desktops like KDE, Enlightenment, gnome, etc.
Are you still auditioning Mint or have you decided already?

You could also try adding a second panel and see if @karlchen's
suggestion works in a fresh panel for troubleshooting purposes.
This is very curious.

Re: I broke Software Manager removing flatpak...eek

+1 far better to leave the packages alone and just disable flatpak interaction by removing the flathub repository: flatpak remote-delete flathub That's all you need to do if you're not interested in flatpak packages. No repository means no download or update venue and flatpak packages will no longer...

It's also possible the sensor is not being interpreted correctly.
How about locally stored videos--do they play normally?

Your processor is way too hot. Probably needs the air path cleaned
and fresh heat-sink compound.

I've had excellent results with Micro Center USB3.0 sticks
I've been using the 32gb version of these for about 3 years with equally pleasing results.
They have a really bright activity led--an attention getter

Surely that is one area of the forum that could be easily improved, e.g. adding a dark theme to help the likes of Jeanie. Don't know, sorry.. Jeanie have you tried the prosilver version? It is a great deal "quieter" to me.. prosil.png I have and didn't like it; it was a bit harder ...

The resize feature evidently was first included with 21.2 Cinnamon. release announcement: "Other Improvements The main menu is now resizable, just drag the edge with the mouse to rezize it to your liking." Just checked with an old ventoy stick and 21.1 Cinnamon indeed does not have this. I...

Re: MInt updates - can I set levels?

When update manager offers an update you can right-click the update
and choose to ignore it once or ignore it forever.
Those files will be listed in Edit/Preferences under the Package tab.
You can add them back if you change your mind in the future.
