Re: PLease help with Bluetooth

For the firmware to be reloaded, the system has to be power off (not just rebooted) and back on. Just killing the radio doesn't reload the firmware. Re: PLease help with Bluetooth

Are you sure that the firmware for that bluetooth device is loaded? Broadcom chip firmware are not shipped due to IP issue. Check your dmesg and see if there is relevant error message.

The issue I encountered and resolved is here: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=228805

[SOLVED] bluetooth headset pairing ConnectionAttemptFailed

Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon. I tried to use "Bluetooth" from "System Settings", it will occasionally detect the device but with a "Not Set Up" tag. Clicking it turn the "Not Set Up" into a spinning wheel for a while, returning to "Not Set Up". Going to CLI instead, and I got this: $ bluetoothctl [NEW] Co...

Use onboard intel graphic for X over discrete GPU

I would like to use the onboard Intel graphic for desktop while leaving all my Nvidia cards for CUDA. I enabled the onboard display to set it to be the primary display device on BIOS. On boot, both BIOS screen and Mint flash screen are displayed via the onboard GPU. But once X starts by mdm, everyth...

Re: Asus X550C Wireless network fixed

Can confirm. After some struggling, blacklisting asus_nb_wmi is the same solution I stumbled upon.

Add

Code: Select all

blacklist asus_nb_wmi
to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-asus.conf
