Windows 10 recovery found, but not the OS

When I use grub to boot I can see Mint 19 which is installed on a 1tb drive. On a 250 SSD I have WinX then on another 1tb drive I have files that I used when I was using Windows more actively, but not it's a convinient spot to save documents I might want to work on regardless of the OS I'm using. Ho...

[soved] Remote Desktop Questions

Looking through mint 16's options I have seen remote desktop, I was wondering, does it work? Does it work well? How easy is it to setup? Should I use something else? I primarily want to use it so that I can do school work from school on my computer while I leave it running at home.
Thanks

[s]Can't open settings or terminal, how to change lockout

I am halfway(ish) through the updates on linux Mint 16, after a fresh install (first linux, beware) and I want to leave my machine to run the updates as I waste time elsewhere, but I can't open any administrative applications other than the updater, chromium and Mozilla are fine, as are my files, bu...
