Pandora Music. Classic Rock and Roll but I do like British Rock and Roll. A local band in my area does it a lot at different dance events. Union Jack, British Invasion.

Re: Looking for a primer on the Linux family tree

I have been happy with Mint since Mint 6. It does everything I want. I do have an issue with upgrading Mint 19 right now. Something about a better log in. It does not like my user name and password but I digress. I am using an older Acer 5515 laptop which still works fine. I also use a HP laptop wit...

Re: Dodged a bullet!

Dodged a bullet. I was waiting for a Pacemaker in a Veterans hospital because I had a few fainting spells because of something called heart block. Heart was beating too slow back in October. Heart failed before it went in and needed a little over a hundred chest compressions to remind my heart to st...

Re: Windows 10 vs Linux Mint

I still use W10 on one laptop and Mint on another laptop.
I need W10 for Apple music, iPhone and iPad. Mint does not handle it.
W10 runs just fine if you know what you are doing.

Might not be any help but did you try using searches with Google or another search engine?
It has been maybe thirty or more years since I did any research about telescopes.

I cannot say it has ever been an issue for me. Google has been my best friend for many years.
Generally the term is quite obvious, well to me, anyway.

Re: Anyone got any interesting hobbies?

Right now I do not have a new hobby but a new goal, to get back into shape. Last October 29th, I opened my eyes and looked up at a doctor lifting his hands off my chest telling me my heart had stopped for quite a few seconds. I essentially died for fifteen seconds. I was laid out for two months and ...

Re: Who can help where to find a wired mouse, which cord doesnt get entangled?

I use a wireless Bluetooth Logitech with my W10 PC. It uses a single AA battery. I never turn off the mouse. Battery last well over a year. Probably longer.
The cord Logitech with my Mint PC.
Both computers stay at home.
Outside, iPhone and iPad.

Re: Urgh! Switching from mouse to trackball

I have been using the USB and the wireless Logitech trackball for some years. Two different laptops. A few years ago a couple people here trolled me when they saw it in a photo of my setup but I never have to move my mouse all around. Trackball on the left and buttons on the right. Second wireless o...

I have used a Logitech keyboard and wireless trackball mouse for years with no issues. Is this for a hacker or spammer?

I use Windows and Mint. W10 on a fairly new laptop and Mint on an older laptop. I need W10 for iPhone and iPad music. I tried dual boot using a link I found here but the steps where different and could not do it. Not looking for help. I don't want to spend hours, maybe days with the PC down if a mis...

I just remembered social dancing in the USA. Dancing since 1953 when I started taking lessons. Now over seventy seven. Never thought of it as a hobby. Foxtrot, Waltz. Today, various ballroom styles, swing, Salsa is a sensuous dance style I like. One partner is very good at this style. It can burn of...
