Re: Boring Mint??

Boring Mint?
Let get real folks. Mint is a tool. I am a retired mechanic. All my tools are boring.
I have a real life and it is exciting. Bicycle riding and dancing. A variety of dance partners. It was like that before retiring. End of subject.
Get a real life

Re: How can I play my smartphone's music in a car that has just radio/CD? (pic included)

I needed the Bluetooth adapter for cars because the iPhone does not have an audio jack, only Bluetooth.
Corolla radio has an audio jack.
Camry radio has no audio jack.

Re: Who no longer trusts or uses Facebook?

Soon after I signed up for FB I disabled my email address. I hear from friends every so often the someone hacked their FB email account. lol
I change FB password regularly.
I only accept friends request from someone I know and meet in person. Never any issues.

Play that funky music white boy.

I have a couple dance partners who can do this dance with me quite well when we have a lot of dance floor.

Re: Bluetooth hearing aids

My stepson has a device to use with his hearing aids for the TV. I will ask him what it is called. It is from his hearing aid company. He also has a free telephone with big display for people who have hearing issues that show what people are saying. It is called Caption Call. Recommended by his hear...

Bluetooth hearing aids

Bluetooth hearing aid. Left one. Right one is just the opposite. The microphone is tucked up in the ear and out of sight. Had them about two years. Work great with iPhone when working out or out riding my bicycle for phone calls. Edit. Forgot to mention the brand, ReSoundCN. A US Navy Vet so not exp...

Re: Am I the only one who still plays CDs?

I still buy and play them from local musicians in my area. I attend many open mike events in my area. Many of my friends love music and playing almost any day of the week. They will never make the big time but they love music and what they do. I have a couple percussion instruments and sometimes jum...

Re: How can I play my smartphone's music in a car that has just radio/CD? (pic included)

The device shown is what I use with my iPhone. Works very well when using GPS. I bought mine through Amazon. Cheap enough. Used it in a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Corolla. Edit. I did notice if I am listening to music with my iPhone when I get into the car with my Bluetooth hearing aids, the device c...

Re: When did you come to Linux?

Around Dec. 2003. I bought a Desktop PC from Walmart with Lindows OS on it. Upgraded over the years and long gone. Only use laptops now. Story in the bottom of my messages.
Much of the time, on my iPhone.

Re: Keeping windows active for gaming

Not the answer you want but a couple years ago I spent about $300.00 USD for a new W10 laptop. Solved a lol issues very easily about running W10 and Linux.
The past five years I was given two laptops that run Linux Mint quite well. My dual boot idea.

Re: Can no longer use Linux Mint

A lot to read through. Eyes are not the best. I have only used Linux since 2003. I have used Mint since Mint 6 and always do a fresh install. Never an upgrade so I never look through messages about upgrades. A couple years ago I bought a USB flash drive with Mint 18.0, Cinnamon and Mate, 64 bit from...

Amazon Mint Installs

I am sure this will get responses. I bought a USB flash drive a couple years ago with Mint 18.0, 32 bit and 64 bit Cinnamon and Mate. I use 64 bit. Came with Mint logo on label. I don’t like messing with Command line so this works just fine. I installed Cinnamon and Mint just fine. Both installs saw...

Re: How I feel about windows

I cannot feel anything about Windows. I do have opinions though.
It is ok if you are aware that Gates designed it to be easily hacked.
It also comes bundled with Failure but not as much today as it use to be.
Windows is great fodder for Ranters who need attention.
