Re: delete last multiboot partition to add more os installs?

ok thanks - it booted up fine and later even deleted 1 of the unused boot options automatically, but first it did the scandisk thing for some reason, on the largest partition where i also took most of the space from for the extended partition... so i can basically even wait with the last installatio...

Re: delete last multiboot partition to add more os installs?

now i can probably try it, but should i just stop the newest win installation after it has copied all of the files or do i still have to let it boot up somehow to finalize all of the configs too? or would it even boot up if it cant even find a proper boot partition or smth...

Re: delete last multiboot partition to add more os installs?

ok, but deleting the last linux os will work more quickly then and all new windows os-es will see the old ones too to create a proper boot order or smth?

delete last multiboot partition to add more os installs?

so i need to add some more systems to the machine, but i would have to delete the last os first(linux) to change that to extended partiton instead, but would it even boot up at all if i delete it, add 1-2 more windows os-es to the new extended+logical partitions and then linux as the last one again?...

Re: Cinnamon edition display bug?

ah ok, that one... i think it will only give me a main device option and not any partitions... but i think that i could replace the grub version with somekind of win10 bootloader also with some 3rd party application...
and would a future Lmde edition fix this weird display bug then?

Re: Cinnamon edition display bug?

i haven't tried the bios version yet, but everything works totally fine after it boots into windows(es).
did i need some special tool to replace grub with bios version tho? and i can just format all of the linux partitions and then just mount a new installation into those?

Re: Cinnamon edition display bug?

oh well... there doesn't even seem to be any Lmde mate version at all, so i should just use the main edition mate version instead?
or can the issue be fixed in a future Lmde release?

Cinnamon edition display bug?

so i'm having an issue where i have a multiboot system with win10 etc, but the display goes wild at totally random times - sometimes it loads everything up as normal, but sometimes it replaces the normal win10 and win7 loading animations with some dark fuzzy lines(so i can't see where is the process...

Nvme legacy boot?

so i'm trying to figure out all of this legacy and uefi boot stuff, but will the legacy mode even work with Nvme disks and do i also have to turn off both, "secure boot" and the "fast boot" in the bios/uefi? (and later in windows 10 also on top of that?) and legacy+uefi boot won'...

Re: What was that LiveCd tool?

now i tested them and those are definitely not the original scan tools, because it scanned everything in real time(even while driving) and i didn't even have to press any buttons. and networks without passwords were probably displayed in red color or smth

Re: [SOLVED] Dual Boot on MSI: cannot see Windows

so it's basically not possible to dualboot 32bit and 64bit at the same time on a uefi machine, or just not with win10(64bit)?
or even if legacy mode is available, it will somehow slow down win10(64bit)?

What was that LiveCd tool?

does someone know what tool would have been used in 2012 or 2013 on a LiveCd, which basically only showed wifi networks in a totally regular text format and without any fancy Gui or graphs at all. and i think that it wasn't even any linux livecd, but a totally separate wifi scanning tool somehow... ...

Re: Which partitions to use ?

ok, the new swap file will be in the /proc folder then? but maybe i only need a separate /boot partition with a multi-boot system then? (and still select /sda instead of /sda1?). and would 1gb be enough for a /boot partition? or 600mb would be enough also, just to save some space? or maybe it will s...
