Re: Unable to extend Mint partition using Gparted

Yea, It looks good, separate space for data. It would be great If you could provide any tutorial link or method to perform this :D No problem. There are a couple of tutorials on setting up a data partition: HOWTO: Create & Use a Separate DATA Partition - by gold_finger Create a /data partition with...

Re: Unable to extend Mint partition using Gparted

Your Mint partition (sda6) is in an extended partition (sda4). You have to make sda4 larger first , then you can make sda6 larger. When you open the drive in Gparted, right-click on the swap partition and turn swap off, to make it inactive, so that you can make changes in the partitions. You can do...

Re: Unable to extend Mint partition using Gparted

I used Gparted as you said from a separate medium this time (Created a live stick from Puppy Linux). Booted into It, opened gparted. It was now giving me an option to Resize/Move. When I try to did that on my Linux Mint partition, It was showing that It's already of maximum size. In-short, It isn't ...

Hello, I'm using Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64-bit dualbooted with Windows 10 (I actually dual-booted it with Windows 7 but later when the upgrade came for Windows 10, I upgraded my windows 7 to windows 10). At the time of Dual-booting, windows was my main system and I had no plan to leave It. I was u...

Re: Will you upgrade to Win 10 upon release?

I'm currently using Win 7 with Linux Mint, dual boot and I'm happy with this mixture. I spend most of my time in Linux Mint but the reason I've kept Windows 7 is because I play Counter Strike, maybe that might be available through steam on Linux too. So far Windows 7 is fulfilling my every need so I...

Re: Can I install any version of Mint on a CD (not a DVD)?

Well that was the same in my case :). I just installed Linux Mint 13 (Mate - 32Bit) 2 days ago in my old pc. It can't boot from USB and It don't also have DVD-RW (But it had CD-RW). => Get a CD and Burn PLOP in it.(Search on google. You will find a lot of tutorials on it) in it. => Download Linux Mi...
