Re: Disabling default network manager

The reason for the problem is wifi power management

Code: Select all

sudo sed -i 's/3/2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/*
Then reboot

Re: How to Install Realtek USB Wireless Adaptor??

Do in terminal

Code: Select all

sudo apt install build-essential dkms
Then go into that RTL88x2BU_WiFi_linux folder in the included driver and look at the readme.txt file and see if it has good instructions
Most times Linux drivers that are included don't support the newer kernels

Re: USB WiFi T2U with ID 2357:011e dont work

If the switch doesn't work, you will have to disassemble the laptop and remove the internal wifi for the USB wifi to work

Re: ALFA with atheros AR9271 not showing in LinuxMint 19.2 (SOLVED!)

Strange that I have used the same chipset for 4 years and never encountered this issue that seems to be caused by short or zero length packets as this is reported to be the fix https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git/commit/drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath9k/recv.c?id=3c0efb7...

If you can access the grub menu in Ubuntu reboot and when you see the grub menu, press c for command line, then type ls to get a list of drives and partitions Then try ls (hd0) and ls (hd1) and see if one comes up with results that say filesystem type iso9660 - Label Linux Mint 19 then do set root=(...

Re: USB boot on UEFI fails

Do you have a version of Clonezilla that supports UEFI boot? You don't really need to boot the Clonezilla ISO in UEFI mode as it will function the same in CSM/Legacy
