Mint is also for people who just want a working system without having to fiddle around after installation.
Nonsense. If that were true then these forums wouldn't be full of posts asking for assistance.
Why isn't Windows that way with all the manufacturer support they get?

Re: bluetooth freezes video

Try my commands from https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=271051&p=1480500#p1480500 as I edited them now that I am on a computer rather than my phone. Re: bluetooth freezes video

Try installing blueman and use it for Bluetooth. What might work is to connect to the hearing aid, right click on it in blueman, go to audio settings and choose "off" then disconnect from the hearing aid, reconnect and switch audio to a2dp

Re: bluetooth freezes video

The 4.13 kernel was not a long-term-support (LTS) kernel and is no longer getting support from Ubuntu (for past several months). Since you think a kernel update introduced the problem, it might be a good idea to try the new Ubuntu LTS kernel 4.15 to both work this problem and provide any other patc...

Re: Intel Wireless 3165 is not Recognized by 18.3

Lets use

Code: Select all

sudo sed -i 's/wifi.powersave = 3/wifi.powersave = 2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf && systemctl restart network-manager.service
In the live usb and check to see if your wifi router is set to WPA2-AES only
