Might work better

Re: Network Drivers x555qa, 802.11ac

You could make sure Network Manager isn't turning on wifi power management with

Code: Select all

sudo sed -i 's/wifi.powersave = 3/wifi.powersave = 2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf && systemctl restart network-manager.service

Re: WiFi and Bluetooth drivers

You need to install a newer kernel using Mint Update, View/Linux kernels to have any chance of wifi working unless you want to wait for Linux Mint 19
The Mint Update Manager main windows doesn't normally inform about newer kernels

Re: WiFi and Bluetooth drivers

Go into Mint Update Manager, click View/Linux Kernels, then click 4.13 and choose the newest 4.13 kernel to install, reboot
Then see if anything new is in

Code: Select all

dmesg | egrep -i 'sdio|brcm|firm'
If it worked in Ubuntu it should be able to work in Mint. Hardware is supported on the kernel

I would uninstall any kernel installed with UKUU and use the Mint Update Manager to install the 4.15 kernel
