Re: Wifi Switch Doesnt Work on LMDE6 32bit

I would uninstall the Broadcom proprietary driver(bcmwl-kernel-source?) and install the b43 firmware(firmware-b43-installer?) and reboot. I am not sure if those are the correct packages in LMDE, but that wifi usually just needs the firmware without the proprietary driver

Re: No wifi adapter detected - rtl8723be

The issue isn't the lack of a driver, the kernel has one called rtl8723be. The issue might be that there is some BIOS setting disabling the adapter or there is an issue with the connection between the motherboard and the wifi chipset, either can be the cause when the wifi isn't detected in lspci but...

For a test you could in terminal

Code: Select all

echo "blacklist sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl"|sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/audio-test.conf
Reboot, if it doesn't work

Code: Select all

sudo rm /etc/modprobe.d/audio-test.conf

Re: Mint 22 and Kernels

That is going to be great for us. I added the 6.8 kernel to all my computers, and from the oldest to the newest I have seem improvements across the board. This is one of the best moves yet. Are you saying that you did this with 21.3? I have wondered about that but so far I have stuck with the advis...

It should disable all power management
OK, thanks! But why is it necessary besides wifi.powersave = 2?
