Sorry, buried this in my last post: I have managed to get low-latency high-quality audio over the network (using netjack2) working which solves the audio-in-the-VM problem (for me at least). It will (in theory) be possible to scale to an arbitrary number of windows/linux VMs as necessary. My 'guide'...
