I couldn't get it working. I'm going to switch to the KDE version since I use a lot of KDE apps. Thanks for the help.

XFCE: Removeable media not opening in default file manager
I am running LM Xfce 17.1 with Dolphin set as the default file manager. When I set my usb drive to automatically open when inserted, it opens with Thunar, even though Dolphin is set as default. Is there any way to change this?

Java not working with Chrome 35 stable
I updated Chrome stable to 35.0.1916.114 and now Java will not work. Any site that uses Java tells me to download it, even though it is installed and working. I am running Linux Mint 17 MATE DVD RC 64-bit. I have openjdk and icedtea packages installed.

I wish to be able to help in the future as I am getting more comfortable with Mint. I have used all of the major and a lot of little distros over the years ...

Re: How to change download directory in MATE?
I am just saying that for some reason the default download directory is different than any other time I have ever used LInux. It's always /home/user/Downloads, now it's /home/user/Documents/Downloads. I will just change the directory in the individual programs. I thought maybe there was a setting in...

How to change download directory in MATE?
I am running Mint 14 with MATE, 64-bit. All of my downloads, regardless of the program, go to /Documents/Downloads instead of just /Downloads. Is there a config I can change to fix this?

Not really a song, but I've been into Johnny Cash a lot recently. I guess I would say Folsom Prison Blues.

Firefox keeps opening on the left side of the screen not maximized. It only started this after I applied updates. Is there a way to make it open maximized?
