In the Mullvad client settings, you can check the boxes: Block the internet on connection failure Stop DNS leaks Tunnel IPV6 Under "advanced" there are even more settings .... the default settings there are fine, even gives you option for "obfsproxy" which is for if your ISP detects you are using op...

Re: VPN icon fail

https://mullvad.net is excellent... works flawlessly with Linux, you can use their "client", or setup OpenVPN, very easy. They have a .deb pkg for the client app. You can also do a small free trial. <3 Mullvad. Once connected to your VPN, you can go to: http://infosniper.net to see all the details.

Re: Whats the details on KDE Neon?

OK, so Ive been using KDE Neon ever since it came out. I love it. No real issues. Others have not been so lucky. I tend to distro hop. When I find one I like, I stick to it for a while. I have never had any luck with any other distro that was KDE related. For whatever reason, Kbuntu was so buggy fro...

in KDE: System Settings>3rd section "personalization">Applications.
Or, you should be able to do a right click on that particular video, look through the "menu" you should see "open with". Find VLC or w/e you wish to use, or type in VLC. No need to remove Dragon.

KDE Plasma 5.10.3 Fixes Longstanding NVIDIA VT/Suspend Issue

From Phoronix: "KDE Plasma 5.10.3 has been released as the newest bug-fix update to Plasma 5. For NVIDIA Linux users in particular this upgrade should be worthwhile. Plasma 5.10.3 has fixed a NVIDIA suspend issue that dates back to at least 2015, "Often after I suspend my machine, wait some time and...

Re: Can't get cairo dock to work

Cairo most def works in KDE. There is 2 different modes: cairo-dock and cairo-dock fallback mode. I "think" you might be in fallback mode. Launch it again. A box will come up and I cant remember exactly what is says, but tick the box that say "remember my choice" . Has to do with the modes. Do not c...

Re: Updating Bios Requires Windows OS on Acers and...

Yes. I have a MSI GT-60 https://www.msi.com/index.php They have "bare bones" laptops. Mine came with Win 8. I went into the BIOS, disabled secure boot & fast boot, enabled "legacy boot". That was that. Runs any linux/gnu really. Here is a link to look up different vendors and performance with linux....

Re: Linux Mint 18 KDE to use what version of KDE?

I had to jump in on this. I have a dual boot: LM18 Cinnamon/KDE Neon BOTH run out of the box flawlessly. No issues with Neon what so ever. MSI GT 60 laptop with Optimus. Stable mable on both sides. And actually, Neon is the only KDE OS that has run perfectly. Ubuntu KDE crapped out on my laptop over...

Re: MSI mobo

I'm on a MSI GT60 laptop. My dual boot worked flawlessly with Windows 8/LMDE 2. Had Windows set to UEFI w/fast boot, and LMDE was set to Legacy w/fast boot disabled. Just had to boot into the BIOS every time and switch back and forth. Was really no biggie.

Re: Connect to VPN automatically

Yes, there is. In network settings in your panel. Open up the settings. Look for either your VPN or maybe Tun0 or just a private address of 10.xxx.xxx.xxx.
Go the the tab: "Identity". Check off both boxes "connect automatically" and "make available to other users".

I have to agree with LeslieTSUK on this one. IRC has SO many advantages over other "chats" and " some forums", at least in my opinion. This forum is very active and extremely helpful and friendly. Quick to answer. Friendly users and staff. You can have bots to do a number of things. Many things. I'v...
