Sorry, the new firefox version no longer has the star for book marks. The only way you can get it back is to uninstall firefox and install the firefox 56 package from mint.

Re: Veracrypt 1.21 install

I'm still a noob. When I first started, I put Veracrypt 1.16 on my Tower running Mint 17. with no issues (I think I was able to use the Software Manager). Now I am trying to update to version 1.21 on my tower, and install it on a clean install of Mint 18.2 on my laptop. I've downloaded veracrypt-1....

Re: thunderbird ok on ethernet no forwarding on wifi

Is this your wifi router? Is it possible that the wifi router has port 25, 465 or 587 blocked? (or whatever port your ISP uses for sending email (SMTP))

Re: wifi groggy after waking up

I have the same problem on my laptop. If that occurs I open a terminal window then tyoe:

Code: Select all

sudo service network-manager restart
You could create a desktop launcher to do this also:

Code: Select all

xterm -e sudo service network-manager restart
or whatever terminal you wish to use.

Re: HP All-in-One Scanner (Wireless 6960)

My router doesn't allow static IP's for devices. The HP printer is wirelessly printing 100%. Where do I put the network address for the scanner? I've tried the /etc/sane.d/ with no connection made.
