Re: Thunderbird Settings Askew

Well thanks for all the help. The emails must have gone away with the original installation of TB. I don't think they are gone! I think, you should find them in the folder "Mail" in your Thunderbird profile folder or his subfolders. ( Local Folders , mail.provider.folder s) Look for text-...

Re: Thunderbird Settings Askew

I reset the computer one day with Timeshift and that didn't help. Where is the file that contains those settings so I can edit or...

Re: very confusing

Hi! I did what you told in your first tip: For Nvidia, drivers should be installed otherwise the system uses the Noueau driver, which won't support the hardware of Nvidia completely as does their binary driver, that is available for Linux http://forums.linuxmint.com/search.php http://www.blogsolute....

Re: Cinnamon crashes ad infinitum

Hi! Thank you for your interest. Installation of Linux Mint worked perfect, beside Broadcom Wifi-driver, but it's O.K. now. There where no problems with graphics, until I edited menus. I made already some changes with no problems, but while deleting an entry made by a program probably not compatible...

Re: very confusing

Hi! Thank you for your tips! The first and third method look very easy to do, but what to do, if it fails (again)? Is there a way back, to avoid a new installation number 10 or 12, if I try for example first method ? Regards Manfred For Nvidia, drivers should be installed otherwise the system uses t...

Re: very confusing

Hi! Thank you for your response. It seems most likely that the first image shows a different "session" to the second image. When you boot, before you enter your password, you have a choice of which "session" you want to use. The second image with the dark menu is the Cinnamon men...
