Re: No Games installed by default in Mint?

A few basic games built in would be great.
Something to link in with Linux Mint.
When you think of windows you think of minesweeper, solitaire and pinball.
These games are intertwined with windows, like mascots for the OS.
We need a few lightweight mascot games pre-installed :)

Re: Hello all

I'm using Linux Mint for 2 weeks now.
Completely new to it.
I find the terminal really useful.

Once you understand the concept of the terminal it is better, when you do something with the GUI all it does is send a terminal command.

It's all terminal commands at the end of the day :)

Re: Top 50 Proprietary apps and their Open Source Alternativ

Wow, that is a fantastic list.

I prefer LibreOffice over OpenOffice.
When Sun took over OpenOffice the people behind it went and created LibreOffice which IMO is nicer :)

Galway Programmer new to Linux Mint

Hey guys, I'm in my second year of a programming course in Ireland (Galway, Mint's homeland! :D ) and I hear so much about Linux from classmates and lecturers that I just had to give it a go. My data structures lecturer loves Linux, talks about how smooth, secure and reliable it is. I'm dual booting...

Re: My first REAL USE experience with Linux

I am also new to Linux.
Around 2 weeks now and I love it :)

I'm dual booting because I need Visual Studio for making Windows Apps.
