Re: Turn Desktop into Hotspot from Tethered Phone Connection
US version Currently unavailable
I tried an Asus router and it would not connect via hotspot or when tethered. If I can turn the desktop into a router I might find a work around on the one device restriction my carrier has on the phone.

Re: Can't Get USB Wi-Fi Adaptor to work
Not quite sure what to do with all the info on that page. I can understand sleeper12's instructions (even though they were for wrong kernel). Unless I'm wrong again, I'd assume you do this: cd rtl88x2BU_WiFi_linux_v5.3.1_27678.20180430_COEX20180427-5959 VER=$(sed -n 's/\PACKAGE_VERSION="\(.*\)...

Re: Can't Get USB Wi-Fi Adaptor to work
I found this on a Ubuntu forum if you want to try it. You really ought to check things before you post them. Those instructions are for an older version that doesn't support the current kernels. The OP should use: https://github.com/cilynx/rtl88x2BU_WiFi_linux_v5.3.1_27678.20180430_COEX20180427-595...
