Possible Hardware Defect - Investigate
Hi forum, my Mint 19.2 ceased booting, I tried to get 20.2 onto an empty harddisk and got this error message: [drm:i915?gem_init_stolen [i915]] *ERROR* Stolen reserved area [mem 0xdf900000-0xdf9fffff] outside stolen memory [mem 0x9fa00000-0xc19fffff] [drm:intel_set_cpu_fifo_underrun_reporting [i915]...

Audio Player Suggestion
Hi there,
which audio player (for .ogg) would you suggest that can play one file at a time (no playlist needed), can easily navigate within that file back and forth, maybe in several step sizes and has a sound visualization (an envelope, maybe, or waveform)?

pdftk won't install

Panel Problems
1) Autohide Stopped working some day. Mint 17 Mate had that problem. Then, I could click on the panel, then on an open window and autohide worked again. Not so this time. Workaround from 17 doesn't work. Closing all windows doesn't either. Had to reboot due to an update. Autohide works again since. ...

Double menu entries
Hi forum, I have a couple of applications that are not under apt's control, mostly DOS and Windows games in dosbox and wine. After a new install of Mint 19.2 Mate I right-clicked on "Menu" and selected "Edit Menu". Then selected the "Games" category, hit the "+&quo...

Mint 19.2 Mate x64 - Stereo channels reversed
Hi forum, the front stereo channels in my brand new Linux Mint 19.2 "Tina" Mate 64 bit installation are reversed. The left speaker plays the right channel and vice versa. Is that a known issue for Creative Labs Soundblaster Live! cards? I'm nearly sure that left and right were correct befo...
