Re: Unable to install PPA for nvidia graphics

Hi:

Thanks for helping.
I did the update.
I tried changing to two different pairs of repository URLs.
I was also able to do update.

But I still cannot add the Nvidia PPA, meaning I still get the same error!
This has never happened before on all LMs I have installed!

What else do I need to try?

Re: LM 19.1 and 4 GPUs: Graphics software rendering mode

TThis, https://askubuntu.com/questions/747314/is-nomodeset-still-required , was for Ubuntu 15.xx. I am using LM 19.1 which is a fork of Ubuntu 18.04. At the end of the above link, this was mentioned: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install nvidia-361...

Re: UEFI: Remove multiple Linux OSes from multiple Linux OS install (No Windows)

But I have another question:

Re: LM 19.1 and 4 GPUs: Graphics software rendering mode

Thanks, deepakdeshp. The instructions did not mention use case for multiple GPUs. So I am not sure if will work for my multiple GPUs case, but I will try it. Here is a worrying scenario: After installing the nvidia drivers via PPA at https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa , and ...

Hi hcentaur13: Thanks for trying to help. Let me see if I can interpret your sentences. >>"The medium you copied the iso to is readonly. No chane to edit it.
