Thank you to austin.Texas. I have set the delay at 7 seconds because it froze again at 5. But now it seems to be a lot better :D I didnt know how to mark solved? [Solved]Login prompt mouse and keyboard unresponsive.

Cannot input using keyboard or mouse occasionally on startup when at login prompt. I have to keep holding down power button to restart. I dont believe it is a hardware malfunction because keyboard and mouse work properly otherwise.

what info will help with diagnostics?

Right-click on the menu button >> configure >> open menu editor >> uncheck wine >> click delete >> done
