Re: What games are you playing / are you looking forward to?

Oh nice! I didn't know Pillars of Eternity was going to be a Linux tittle. I just hope it comes out within a reasonable time along with the other platform versions. BG:EE took forever to come out with the Android version, and Shovel Knight (which I ended up getting for the 3DS) still hasn't put out ...

Re: <Steam Game> is not available on your current platform

Hey nato85, If you can get the windows .exe files of any of your games on your machine you can always try running trough wine. If you do try wine I would recommend using the latest version off of WineHQ though. Here are some good games that I play on my linux machine and they all work great: Metro: ...

Re: Steam - i can't start any games after update

Hello Mandalore3131, I have steam running fine on my machine (LMDE, MATE, 64bit). Your question was quite a while ago. Are you still having this issue? If so, what kind of graphics card are you using? Usually when steam doesn't work for me it's because it cant find a specific 32bit library. You can ...

Re: Would you like LMDE to be based on Stable, not on Testin

I voted no. Until I came across LMDE, I used a mix of Debian Stable and Testing (that's Debian, not a mint or ubuntu derivative) simply because some of the applications I use need newer libraries than what is offered in Debian Stable. The reason I switched to LMDE was because it took a lot of the b...

Re: No Transparency Option in Profile Preferences

This isn't really a solution, but I decided to switch from cinnamon to MATE. So far I like it a lot. It seems less buggy and I get my transparent terminals back. I do a lot of programming and am usually toggling between the terminal and an IDE or browser. This workflow has become very useful for me....

Re: No Transparency Option in Profile Preferences

Yes, I'm using cinnamon.

If it's a feature that's no longer supported, can I get the effect another way?

No Transparency Option in Profile Preferences

Hello, I'm new to linux mint debian edition, but not to debian. After installing the OS I noticed that I couldn't set the transparency option for the terminal. The tab that usually gives you the option simply wasn't there. I figured it was because it wasn't supported without my graphics drivers inst...

Cannot Access Terminal in Cinnamon Fallback Mode [SOLVED]

Hello All, I'm having trouble accessing the terminal in cinnamon fallback mode. This all started because I was attempting to update my bluez driver to 5.19 (so that I could pair my Wii U Pro Controller. Recommended here: http://dvdhrm.github.io/xwiimote/). I got through everything and finished insta...
