Re: Using pixel-perfect half resolution on HiDPI displays

So If we rescale the screen, screen-content will be rescaled using a bilinear filtering. What we do want is having pixel-perfect quadruple pixels so every pixel dimension is twice its native size without any filtering. Unfortunately, xrandr cannot be forced to disable filtering. With a brand new pa...

Re: Official Mint-X theme with blue instead of green colour?

Hello,

I just came across this:

http://segfault.linuxmint.com/2014/08/mint-x-colors/

As long as the GTK+ theme highlight colour will also be changed, this would be nice :).

Re: Official Mint-X theme with blue instead of green colour?

PS:

Just a suggestion:

The blue colour:

#3399FF (R: 51 / G: 153 / B: 255)

is the default colour for selected items in Microsoft Windows 7 and looks quite nice as a highlight colour on themes with silver colour.

Regards

Re: Official Mint-X theme with blue instead of green colour?

[...] As far as adding an official version that uses blue, I can talk to clem and the other devs and see what the opinion is on that. I don't speak for the Mint devs [...] Oh and yes, I created the new version of Mint-X as of Mint 17. Well, it would be much appreciated if you could do that. Again, ...

Re: Official Mint-X theme with blue instead of green colour?

PS: Changing the color scheme is a bit of work, especially for the icon theme. You might be better off finding another icon theme that uses a blue folder set. The folder icons in Linux Mint are more or less simply elementary folder icons but with green colour, aren't they? The elementary folder icon...

Re: Official Mint-X theme with blue instead of green colour?

Hello, first of all: thanks for the fast response. The Gtk theme was completely redone in Mint 17 but it's still green. Mint you know :). I have been considering doing a blue version of the theme because I know it is something that has been requested in the past, and is something I would use as well...

Official Mint-X theme with blue instead of green colour?

Dear Linux Mint developers, I think the Mint-X theme is a nice theme. But what I really dislike about it is that it uses green colour. This is not meant as an offense. And I realize that green is probably chosen because of the "Mint" branding. However, the green colour is, IMHO, quite uneasy on the ...

Linux Mint 17 Qiana LTS strategy?

Dear Linux Mint developers, I read about the new Linux Mint 17 Qiana LTS strategy over there for example: http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2613 [...] The decision was made to stick to LTS bases. In other words the development team will be focused on the very same package base used by Linux Mint 17 for t...
