Re: Linux Mint 19 "Tara" Cinnamon released!

Since the kernel update I've a black screen after the boot. I see the initial splash screen but not the desktop. I can switch to a console with CTRL-ALT-F1 and login. I checked in /var/log/Xorg.0.log but there is no error ...
Is there other people with the same problem?

Re: LM 17 Cinnamon on Acer Aspire One A0751h

I've checked in the BIOS and the netbook is precisely an AO751h-52Bb with the BIOS 3212 and Poulsbo 16.
Is anyone has successfully installed Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon on such material ?

Re: LM 17 Cinnamon on Acer Aspire One A0751h

I've already tried with the same problem.
I've tested with a debian 7.5 and the installer runs fine.

I've installed the debian 7.5 but the system freeze during the boot when the video mode switches.

LM 17 Cinnamon on Acer Aspire One AO751h

Hi, I'm trying to install LM 17 Cinnamon on an Acer Aspire One A0751h but I've a problem with the display. I boot with an usb key with LM 17 Cinnamon 32 bits but after the initial display the screen becomes very strange and unreadable. Is anyone has successfully installed LM 17 Cinnamon on a such PC ?

If you mean security fix, then it's no! We got some fixes for very important matter. But for some common security fixes you could expect with Ubuntu or Debian stable, we don't have them in LMDE :)
But security is managed in Debian testing so why not in LMDE ?

Re: LMDE and updates

yes it's 'normal'. That's the way LMDE works. You like it or not, that's how it's work :) This has been answered so many time I lost the count... This is one the reason who could make LMDE following Debian Stable in the future. I don't know how you can do a rolling release distribution based...
