Re: Is this serious vulnerability patched for Mint?
There's an old saying, and I know I've mentioned it here on LMF before but I think it bears repeating: What's the difference between a computer sales person and a used car sales person? One of them knows they are lying to you. Which one? I suspect it would be both of them know they are lying.

Re: Mint20 asking for root password on every installation
And , as is my particular problem, what if one does not recall or remember what the password was for the first user created upon Mint's installation? Re: No /dev/ttyUSB0 when usiing WSJTX with Linux Mint 20.2
I think on my laptop I had to set it for ttyACM0. But don't have the laptop handy to check it. Or maybe that was on my NanoVNA or my tinySA.

Re: the "new" Verizon hates their customers
I'm on Verizon, have been for maybe 25 years, and don't plan to switch any time soon. When I owned an electronics service company, I had a guy who did home service calls for me. Since Eastern Washington is a relatively sparsely populated area and there weren't a lot of service shops, we did service ...

Installing uBlock Origin, NoScript, and Privacy Badger is one of the first things I do when I do a new Mint install.

Definitely look it up first, I am not an expert. But it seems to me you want to change the owner of the drive.

Re: How do I get 20.2 to use my new swap space?
What do you mean by "added swap space"? Do you mean that you added a drive you want to use for swap? Or that you created a new partition you wish to use as swap? If either of those, you don't need or want to create a swap file , all you need to do is edit your fstab file to point to that d...
