I just re-installed Mint18.1.
I think my original problem was self inflicted. I was pressing and holding down the power button when computer took too long to close.

My copy of Mint 18.1 has now decided not to mount Fat32 format USB Sticks correctly. NTFS etc is OK.
I seem to recall a process called "Broken" which searches out corrupted files and fixes them. Does such a thing exist for this release?
Any help will be most welcome.

Thanks for reading this. I want to copy lots of pictures from an iPad to Mint [18.2] and am getting a message saying "no files to copy" or similar even though permission has been granted on the iPad. Also have "Trusted Computer" ticked.
