Hi, I have Windows XP and Linux Maya as dual operating systems. I want to re install Linux Maya but when I try and re-install I am given the option of wiping the whole hard drive - which I don't want to do. The second option shows me the existing partitions but I am not sure which options to choose....

Hi All,
Removed 4.2 from my laptop. Installed 4.3 Ubuntu 12.4 edition. Loaded in OK but software won't run. Have done the same on my desktop and 4.3 runs OK.
The laptop processor is only 866MB - I wonder if this could be the problem.

don't know you didn't tell if you use Maya (Mint13) 32 or 64 bit? So for skype use 32 if 32 bit and 64 if 64 bit. then again skype is 32 bit so ubuntu 12.04 is the one. You might be on to something when you mentioned the kernel being outdated as Linux Mint doesn't enable kernel updates- even the ones from Ubuntu.
