Re: Elyssa /etc folder gone!
I have already tried fsck and it hasn't fixed anything. So if there are no alternative flags for fsck and testdisk is difficult to identify specific folders then it looks like i will need to reinstall.

Re: Elyssa /etc folder gone!
Sorry for the confusion, yes my /home directory is on a separate partition. What i am unsure about is what i have lost in losing the /etc folder. Can i replace this from the live cd or is there setup information in there that means i need to reinstall? I did try the TestDrive application from my win...

If i reinstall over the current partition, what does this imply for my home directory? Will i have to install everything again, and hope that th...

Re: Elyssa Crash
Just to update this thread.... my machine is still crashing! It is regular and annoying enough to really disrupt my work now. from what i have read this is a kernel problem or at least a wireless driver issue. Re: Evolution Syncevolution set up script
Never mind Husse,
the package has been updated with a readme that does tell you how to install. I already had all the dependencies so everything is fine.
the new readme is here http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15414099/README
thanks again!

Re: Evolution Syncevolution set up script
Husse......!!! This was just what i was looking for!
I don't mind a gui as then i don't have to worry about scheduling. I have downloaded the tarball, but i am a little stuck on how to install. I think i have covered all the dependencies.
How would you install this?
Thanks
