You have to do what I did. You cannot change the theme and icon theme of the package manager without being root or su! Try it. You'll have this nice theme and then when you open up the package manger, it'll look horrible because you didn't theme it as well. Did you even read why I had to go su? I do...

I figured it out. I used gksu gnome-appearance-properties %F and typed my password in. All's good now. I just cannot stand the looks of the package manager without changing the theme and icons to match the rest of my desktop. LOL

I want to know how to enable root in Isadora or how to bring up Appearances in root so that I may change the theme of the package manager. Can anyone help me with this?

You try it on Elyssa. I went through the mintassistant but I still get the message "The System Administrator is not allowed to login on this screen."

I prefer to create a root account so that I can theme synaptic and other programs that require access. After installing Elyssa today, I have discovered that I cannot login to root. At login, it mentions something about not being able to login to root on that screen. Any suggestions? Thanks.
