Gnucash & Mysql

I am on LM 19.3. Installed mysql-server, -client and -workbench. Mysql is running. Then I installed Gnucash from the repositories and used the Wizard to set it up. But when it came to chose the database format (offered mysql and xml) I got an error and it reverted to xml. Have libdbd-mysql installed...

Re: Open multiple instances File-Manager

Thanks for the replies. Moem, I just "looked" at what you suggested and after a restart this morning I have a completely new panel, modern in outlay and back to its normal behaviour. Can not explain in more detail because I am not aware of having done anything.

Open multiple instances File-Manager

Running 19.3 Cinnamon. The question is about the behaviour of the program launcher icons in the bottom panel. It used to be that when I clicked, a new instance of the program opened. Now when I click the focus shifts to the open instance, click again and the program is reduced to the bottom panel. H...

(Solved) Bottom Panel move icons to left zone

All my icons are now cramped into the right part of the panel. Before my program launchers where to the left, running programs in the middle and workspaces and status indicators to the right. How can I move icons to the left zone and align them left within the zone?

(Solved) Where is my timeshift snapshot?

I used timeshift on a new installation of LM 19.3 . In gparted there are two partitions, sda1 and sda2. The screenshot below shows a 3rd partition formated as ext4. With nemo however I am unable to find the snapshot. Where is it?

Re: Bluetooth unable to detect keyboard

Reinstalled LM 19.3 but Problem persists. Other Bluetooth devices can be connected. I guess it is a problem with the Keyboard not LM drivers or programs.

What programs/drivers to get bluetooth working

I had trouble with my bluetooth not working correctly. Removed all programs related to bluetooth as I thought there might be some interference. Now I face the question what to install to get it working without doubling up. Blueman and Bluetooth? Bluez and Blueberry? Please advice on the best combina...

Re: Installing 19.3 on MacbookAir 2013

Thanks Pulegium, a few clear instructions solved my problem. The basic problem was "hold down the option key" during boot. In other postings they always mentioned to hold down the c key which does nothing. Now it is working as the last time.

(Solved) Installing 19.3 on MacbookAir 2013

There are lots of instructions about how to do this but one says this the other that and I have no success. There must be a set and working procedure. I did away with MacOS and am already running LM19.1 on the Macbook so clearly I had succeeded back a few years ago. But over the years I installed pr...

Maybe the keyboard is untrusted somehow. Is there a way to list untrusted connections?

Bluetooth unable to detect keyboard

Have a Logitech K480 bluetooth keyboard which was connected to Linux-Mint 19.1 Tessa until this morning. Suddenly was listed as device but did not connect. Removed the device and did a search but the keyboard was not listed, other devices do. Then I noticed that when I switched the keyboard on it sh...

Re: Photogrammetry for Linux

I am trying to create 3d furniture and machines for a program called "SweetHome 3d". My objects would normally not exceed the size of a cupboard. Reading the reply I thought regard3d is the ideal thing and downloaded it. But to use it on Linux it has to be compiled by the user and that seems to exce...

Re: Photogrammetry for Linux

Thank you for that information. I looked a bit into it and there is an addon to Blender for photogrammetry. But it seems still in development and very work intensive, something more for experts. There are other descriptions too but it is difficult for me to understand (Portugese and French). Other p...

Is there any software to create 3D-models from 2D-pictures which runs on Linux-Mint? I only found visualSFM which seems to be quite old and complicated to use.
