Re: Blocked with conversion JPG > PDF
What have I done bad ? But writing the whole command line works ... we can say that this application is working now. I don't know, but dragging and dropping to a terminal window, whilst is supported is probably the most horrible way possible to get a file path to the terminal. Copy (from th...

Re: What's keeping my system awake?
Yous system has the same processor as this guy with the same issue - it appears to be a hardware specific issue with the Mint 22 kernel. He 'solved' it by migrating to LMDE. I suspect there is a workaround if you wanted to stay on Main Edition Mint, but it's hunting down what that workaround is will...

I have just checked the vendor's website and I believe they have a newer BIOS available for download. It might be worth a try first.

Re: New installed LM22 slow bootup (>45s)
Thanks - so the initial kernel loading seems to slow right down during detection of USB ports and connected devices, and then hangs for 30 seconds before some error / failure with PCIE ports & devices. Lets have a look at the inxi -Fxxxrzc0 --usb output for this device. Might be worth checking i...

Re: Update Manager cache or data ?
I understand now, so you are wondering given that the location is excluded when taking a snapshot, would the current contents survive a snapshot being restored, so you could populate it with current debs and have them available to update the system post restore? I think so, but I would want to test ...

Re: Google Online Account setup not launching browser
I will just give up Good call, Gnome Online Accounts is a buggy POS and always has been. I'd recommend using rclone if you want to integrate remote storage into your system. It is command line (albeit with a beta webbased GUI), so a little learning curve, but it is rock solid. It is in the repos, b...

So in both your installed Mint 22 and the LMDE Live session run these in the terminal and report back output (just fishing for any clues / differences really) dmesg -l emerg, alert, crit, err dmesg | grep ACPI | grep supports cat /sys/power/mem_sleep In the installed Mint 22 what happens if you run sys...
