Thumbs up to gparted and unetbootin! after formating my pendrive 38 times to fat 32 and trying with unetbootin and adding the flags "boot, lba", It was finally bootable!! :D :D :D

Thank you. I did it on a live USB. All you have to do is add the line 'rw init=/bin/bash' after '--' with a space.

Tuxboot wrote the image but my computer still did not boot off my pendrive!

To finish off this thread, I have found my choice of linux distro. Manjaro! It is great. It's based off of Arch, It is fast and It is not Commercialized ! I Recommend it to a lot of people!

I dont have windows alongside mint. I only have mint. And ofcourse I have tried USB Image Writer

But there are soo many answers. I tried the one where I enter the "toram" parameter but nada. The second one, I tried to download refracta from http://www.ibiblio.org/refracta/, But there were dependencies which are not satisfiable! What do I Do? When I boot from usb, I get a menu listing some options:

Start linux Mint
Strart in compatibility mode
Integrity Mode
Memory check
Boot From Local Hard Disk

There is no number. What do I do?

I dont. You are right. I just thing that this could be the start of something. If they really have to post adds, do it on your site, not in our OS. And I also think that the amazon search should be off by default. (Please prove my wrong Mark!)

Open source to me is that computing should be for everyone. Equal oppertunity. NON COMMERTIAL, NOT ABOUT MAKEING PROFITS. The video of Ubuntu Edge is also a big disappointmen to me. I understand that but I havent seen a paid application in Linux Mint. I really love it but the fact that it is based on ubuntu 14.04 which has, In my case, a lot of paid software now puts me off.
