Re: I made a video

Well done, I like how you explained it simple and basic. I'm going to have a few of my friends look at your video (they are tired of Windows and sometimes rant about how it has slowed down and how they want to fix it with a hammer) to see if it will persuade them to give Linux a try. Maybe seeing a ...

Re: [Chat] Still keep a Windows? Speak out your reason

For me like a few on here it is just the games, some i have got to use through wine but as i'm still learning and tweaking I have kept windows for now. But as soon as I can get them to work...or i get bored of them then it's bye bye windows. Other than that i don't use windows because i find my Mint...

Re: Linux is Not Windows

Enjoying Linux and occasionally having friends and relatives around, sometimes they want to check their emails or settle a friendly argument. So i fire up my pc and say okay use it...but then they notice it's not Windows and i have to explain some of the differences. But that seems like a lot of wor...

Re: What are you most dissatisfied with in Linux Mint?

No problems for me...well i run into a few minor issues every now and then, but i'm still new to Mint and eventually with a bit of research and advice from this forum i can get most things i want to work or i can find an alternative. So all in all i'm happy. :)

Re: How do you promote Mint?

I really enjoy Linux and use it everyday, but i would love a t-shirt with a penguin stomping on the windows logo. It may seem childish but thats my sense of humour lol. But other than that i go out my way to praise Mint where i can and try to mention the advantages. All that are comfortable with win...

Re: What made you switch to Linux Mint?

For me at first it was they money, i didn't like how windows was becoming expensive and i hated the look and feel of windows 8. After dabbling in the past with Ubuntu it all seemed like hard work switching to Linux, but with more research and dabbling i found Mint a lot quicker and once i knew some ...

Hello everyone

I'm new...ish to this although i have briefly dabbled in the past it has always been a bit daunting to take the plunge. But i can happily say i am enjoying my Mint experience now i have got to grips with some of the very basics. I have a lot to learn and always wanted something other than windows. I...
