My Host file entries were merged togeter!

Do anyone knows why, since recently, my host file entries with the same ip adress are always automatically merged together on the same line ? I'm not sure when this happen, maybe when I boot. But I don't like that. I format my hosts file like this. Notice the same ip on two lines: e.f.g.h foo.aaa.co...

Not Solved, sorry.
There is a button in Mint 17. (The Location line in shown WHEN you click the button with the pencil).

Re: Cannot paste path in "Open" dialogs ?

Thanks. CTRL+L works. However I would prefer to have the button I used to have.
Removing useful buttons force the user to "know" the keyboard shortcuts. I think this a bad idea.
Also, one click is faster that CRTL+L.

In Mint 17, we had a super useful button:

Cannot paste path in "Open" dialogs ?

I am planning to upgrade from Mint 17.3 to 19. However I am afraid that in Mint 19, I cannot paste a path into a text field in any Open dialog. This is a feature I use often in Mint 17. Is there a shortcut for that ? Is there a configuration to show the text box ? Do this really useful feature was r...

Steam Big Picture not centered.

In the Steam Client, when I go in "Big Picture" mode, the screen is not centered. It is on bottom left instead. Also, the mouse position is detected at a different location (hovering and clicks affect the wrong widgets). Please see the screenshot (I have a 19" 1280x1024 screen, I know it old but I l...

Re: libreoffice toolbar icons disapeared

Thank. I prefer the default theme: libreoffice-style-tango sudo apt-get install libreoffice-style-tango I also noted that, because I use the libreoffice ppa, something is missing in the look and feel. For example, the text in the menus is very small. To solve this, I installed this package: libreoff...

Re: libreoffice toolbar icons disapeared

Go to Tools->Options->View

See what you have under "Icon Style". In my case it was set to "Automatic(Helpimg)". I changed this to "Human"

Ok, forget the menu transparency, my question not about that.
I think there should a place, a "bucket" of wish where anyone can vote on them.
Does it exist, where is it ?

Re: I'am affraid! Installing Mint on an USB Flash Drive: it want to format my PC Linux SWAP partition ????

Thank for the information. I confirm that I am not able to "ignore" sdb7 in the installer. My current workaround would be to disable my SATA drives ports in my BIOS so that the installer do not see them. Then re-enable them after the installation. However some Motherboards does not have this feature...
