Re: XFCE move volume control from indicator to panel

To have an independent volume icon on the panel you can install xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin and add it to the panel.

sudo apt-get install xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin

Re: web browsers can't access internet

Well, i've been using linuxmint last two days on this machine. At the office. The connection works but it breaks very very often. I have to Disable and Enable Networking every 10 minutes from nm-applet to restore connection. So, i was wrong about the nature of the problem. It was not only on the bro...

Sorry, MuteAnt. I'm afraid I don't get what you're saying.
Should I change "the uid of the mount"?

Re: can't delete files using de delete button on ntfs patition

Thank you Mute Ant!
That solved the problem.
Delete button works now.

And files are owned by lm.
But the group of the files is root. Is that right?

Considering: 1) Multiple users on windows (at least 2) 2) Multiple users on linux (at least the same 2 real persons) Even knowing t...

Fix Window Buttons (and xfwm4 Alt+Tab cycling) show thumnails with image files?

Although i have unticked "Show windows preview instead of icons when cycling" at Window manager tweaks > Compositor, when i open a pdf file (with xreader or evince) or an image file with xviewer, ristretto, or Gimp, the window buttons plugin and the Alt+Tab cycler shows a (small) thumbnail...

Can't boot with kernel 4.13.0-25/26 (Solved )

Hello. I used the update manager to install new 4.13.0-25 and 4.13.0-25 kernels on a 32 bit LM 18.3. I can't boot with those kernels i had to use the older 4.10 default kernel to be able to boot on that system- I don't care much, it's just the Meltdown and Spectre thing, and suggestions to update ke...

Interesting thread. I agree f2k is probably the best music player. I missed it when i left windows. Didn't find it that easy running it with wine when i tried (some years ago). From those I've tried which run natively on linux I choose Clementine for the moment, it's very good to manage tabs. What i...

problem with xfce4-power-manager (i think) unable to suspend/shut down, handle screen brightness

Hello. I'm having an issue at my netbook with LM 18.2 xfce. It seems like sometimes the power-manager crashes or something. Sometimes when i try to suspend, the system goes to lightdm login screen, instead. Unable to suspend from lightdm. When that happens, if i login again, and try to open power ma...

Well the workaround was already there. In the #1 answer of the #1 page i had quoted: https://askubuntu.com/questions/530779/change-file-manager-used-by-firefox-on-lubuntu which points to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/133133/comments/74 The workaround was "to "sabot...
