Hi again. I've just noticed your typos.
Of course there's not that "s" in the 2 folders' names.
They are:
- Config
- Sound

Re: Orbiter 2010, POL and Saturn Run

Ooops! I forgot to say that D3D9 requires the creation of symlinks. In Windows, all the user has to do is going to Launchpad -> Video tab, then clicking on Advanced, then there should be a button just for that. Here are the instructions: http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5854 I don't know i...

...Pressing the "Launch Orbiter" on orbiter_ng.exe starts the server, not the client display which has the HUD and other features. Apparently, in the past, clicking the "launch Orbiter" button on the server GUI also started the client GUI. But that didn't work for me. That button only starts the se...

You might have a hacked/corrupted ISO only if you downloaded it on February 20th (IIRC).
No problems in downloading it now (or directly upgrading from update manager)

Re: Linux Mint Forums Back After Double Attack

...This whole hack thing has been a real wake up call. Yeah, me too. I'm actually looking for the "best" solution, trying Keepass (with Keepass2Android/Dropbox/Keyfile on USB stick) and Lastpass, though mostly in Windows. Installed and solved - YEAH! - by using PlayOnLinux, as described in this very detailed guide: http://www.gamersonlinux.com/forum/threads/orbiter-space-flight-simulator-guide.452/ http://i.imgur.com/GeyUf2C.png http://i.imgur.com/ce0N4az.png http://i.imgur.com/JS2PSQK.png Planets' textures are sadly...

Re: Install Wine+Orbiter

I know, I know... I have exactly a dual-boot with WinXP/Mint, so no problems running Orbiter in XP. Every now and then someone pops up on Orbiter Forum saying that it works in Linux, so it was just out of curiosity. Anyway I got it working :D (kind of...) now with Wine 1.6.2, installed from Synaptic...

Re: Install Wine+Orbiter

Yes, I've already launched that winetricks line, it says "already installed, skipping" on all voices. I also have the same MS common controls 5.80 checked My wine --version says 1.8 Meanwhile (tonight) I've messed around installing PlayOnLinux, editing .wine/user.reg, and I don't know what else, but...

Re: Install Wine+Orbiter

Yes, I saw that, but I know for sure some Orbiter users run it in Linux.
For example:
http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=28538

I guess/hope it has to do with Wine config.

Restoring a Ghost image

Hi all. I have some serious web-slowdowns with my pc (both in Mint and in Windows). Some pages simply refuse to load, I don't know why. I am thinking to restore a Windows image I snapped with Ghost some time ago to get rid of all the mess I may have (I have a current backup of all my data on an exte...

Re: libcmanager0 not authenticated

Ok, solved.

What I did:
- I installed all other non-problematic components first,
- refreshed mintupdate,
- reapplied the new updates,
- libcmanager0 was updated without warnings.

[SOLVED] libcmanager0 not authenticated

Hi there. I have some updates waiting, but it's the first time Mintupdate tells me that there's something "not authenticated", specifically libcmanager0. The same windows says something like "This is your last chance to check the selected updates list before their application". If I click on "view d...

Re: [Solved] Upgrading a dualboot pc to 17.2

As you can (could) see from my sig, everything went smoothly, I upgraded from Update Manager.
After the first reboot Grub still showed Mint 17.1. After manually installing the recommended kernel, it showed 17.2.

Thanks again, it couldn't be easier!

[Solved] Upgrading a dualboot pc to 17.2

Hi all.
I will update to 17.2 in some days.
Actually I have a working dual boot with 17.1 and XP.

I seem to remember reading a thread where it was adviced to run "sudo update-grub" just after updating, before the first reboot.
Is that right? Is that all?

Thanks.
