Re: Calendar

Hi again :) I just did some additional tests. I installed Ubuntu 18.04 and Ubuntu 19.04 on virtualbox sessions. I don't get any notification from calendar on 18.04 but I do get one on 19.04 Beside the calendar version discrepancy (3.28 on 18.04 and 3.32 on 19.04), I saw the way to manage application...

Re: Calendar

Hi

Strange, I don't see anymore the answers from someone called Lex ?

I just did a fresh install of LM19.2 Cinnamon on virtualbox and tested it.

I don't get any notification either from calendar.

I wonder whether there is something connected to dependencies but what ?

Cheers

Re: Calendar

Hi

Just tried on another machine with LM 19.1 cinnamon and the 3.28.2 stock version of gnome calendar.
I am not able to get any notification after setting a reminder.
It looks like the integration in LM might need some additional tweak ?

All what I can do right now.

Cheers

I am on LM19.2 cinnamon. I have another machine on LM19.1 cinnamon. I will make a test there tonight.

Good luck

Re: Calendar

Hi

I am also experimenting a different issue with calendar and the flatpak version has solved it somehow (see other post on this forum).

Have you tried to install the flatpak version (3.32) and tested it in regards of your needs ?

Re: Unstable/crash of gnome-calendar on LM19.2 Cinnamon

Hi Lex Please, enjoy your time off even if I highly appreciate your feedback of course. Flatpak version works in regards of the expiration (or non-expiration) of the nextcloud connection. However, it is not well integrated with Linux Mint desktop environment and has some flaws (account cannot be set...

Re: Unstable/crash of gnome-calendar on LM19.2 Cinnamon

No worries Lex. Thanks for your follow-up. The thing is I am already under 3.28.2 and I experiment the issue. Our hardwares are different. I use an HTPC under Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon. But I don't think this issue comes from there. I use NGINX. Do you use Apache ? Then, how do you manage your certif...

Re: Unstable/crash of gnome-calendar on LM19.2 Cinnamon

Thanks Lex

To try to help the developers, can you tell me more about your Nextcloud configuration (http or https, Nginx or Apache, reaching through local network address or through external website address....) ?

Thanks !

Re: Calendar

Hi

Just a question, are you in front of your computer at the reminder set time ?
I am wondering whether if the time is past then you don't get the reminder when connecting ?

Re: Unstable/crash of gnome-calendar on LM19.2 Cinnamon

Hi Answering helps by default. Thank you for that ! You have the same version than me. So, nothing new I can expect short term from a new version. How do you use calendar ? Do you have your calendar locally on your machine or do you use a remote server ? If you use a remote server, what kind is it a...

Re: Unstable/crash of gnome-calendar on LM19.2 Cinnamon

Hi

I installed again the stock version but I have same problem.

It looks like the new version you mentioned has not reached me yet. Software manager installs
3.28.2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1mint1+tessa
and it is the same version I had before.

Which version did you get recently ?

Thanks

Re: failed to automatically start a flatpak progam (Wire IM)

Hi everyone I found something and it might be a bug. In that case, does anyone know how to report it ? To whom at first. Let me explain. I dug more into the syslog file upstream and I found an error about com.wire.WireDesktop.desktop version not recognized. The error is the following (sorry for the ...

failed to automatically start a flatpak progam (Wire IM)

Hello all I installed Wire IM via Flatpak as it is so far the only way to get it. I'd like to get it started automatically upon connexion. If I use the Wire option to do so, an entry will be added to the list of programs to start but the path is incorrect. If I then open the menu to select an applic...

Re: nightmare with epson XP-445 scanner

Hi,

since then, I have changed printer...

What I have discovered later on is that it is beneficial to update the sane backend.

Try this :

Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rolfbensch/sane-git
Then, update your system.

Hope it will help you !

Re: nightmare with epson XP-445 scanner

Thanks pdc_2 for your support. Yes, I saw this post on the bug and I tried to use the same solution. However, the folder /usr/lib/sane doesn't exist on my installation. I am then stuck at the first step of the solution provided which is : sudo ln -sfr /usr/lib/sane/libsane-epkowa* /usr/lib/i386-linu...
