try adding this to your kernel parameters.

i know this may sound silly, but it does work... first off... like a few said above, go get your case blown out... every nook and cranny... take the vid-card out, blow it out, the fans... everything.... then once you're done and reassembled, grab a pair of panty-hose, and tape a piece over your fan ...

you barely using 1/4 of your swap... why increase it?

also, swap is mainly only used for machines with < 2g memory.

i know there's a million ways to check via CLI... but figured i would share this, as it's very simple, and once done, people can just punch in "speedtest" in the terminal, instead of either marking or remembering "wget -O - https://raw.github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli/master/speedtest_cli.py | python"...
