Re: I think I'm done with Gmail. Maybe I'm even ready to pay for email?

There is one thing you must know. There is no such thing as "your email". Everything stored at someboby's servers. It is "their email". You only allowed to look.

Re: Forum login saved but no auto logon

Yes, I agree, It is annoing to manually logon to the any forums. Have you any question about how to get rid of such behaviour? Note: actually there is no problem to "automatically" logon to Mint forum. If you have a question then just ask.

Re: Secure Email: Have we reached a point of consensus?

Many systems and solutions exist, but the big name ones I know about are Tutanota, Proton Mail, and PGP. It's depend. If you want to hide your messages from occasional curios men then encode your messages. If you want to hide from something like FBI then encoding will not help. They will knock in y...

Re: Google worse than Facebook regarding Privacy

From the article: Take weekends into considering and Google has an eye on your workouts, the restaurants you frequent, where do you shop, and places you hang out. Whenever I visit someplace, it doesn’t take much time to get notifications from Google. Total BS for me. I constantly use Google as serch...

Re: <Disregard I was in error> Google Chrome Users...your going to love this!

To make things funny (Microsoft+Chrome) let me show one video During the presentation, 'How to migrate applications, data, and workloads to Microsoft Azure,' the presenter (Microsoft's employee) had to shift from Microsoft Edge to Google Chrome to get the work done. Because Edge hangs. https://www.y...

Concerning people's browsing activities. Our ISPs knows it much more better than Microsoft, Google and Facebook together. If somebody want to found you then he come to ISP first.

2018 year. Finally Linux almost win the war of "securing the tiny processors that power smart appliances, connected toys, and other gadget".
There are only a few steps to win the war of desktops. Isn't it?

Re: Bad Windows but conquering the desktop war

The open source os in general and Linux in particular are tested by a huge number and hence the vulnerabilities are caught soon. All Linux vulnerable code fixers and vulnerable code writers concentrated in Red Hat, SUSE, Debian and The Linux Kernel Organization. Testers are always we, regardless of...

Re: Linux mint view

I know Linux mint is based on Ubuntu, but I think you're late on a lot of things. There is something you probably never know: Linux Mint is LTS. Do you know what it means - LTS? Personally, I will migrate to a linux that will be up to date. I prefer a less stable but up-to-date distribution Fedora ...

Re: Software and config 32 and 64 bit

1. Probably not. Who knows what software you use on your 32-bits? But 64-bit system can run 32-bits applications.
2. You can try but better forget this idea. Something will work but something not. Restore only your Documents, Downloads, Music, e.t.c.
